Am trying to lean this way but it is difficult with a meat eating DH and fussy DS. Probably couldn't go the whole hog but would like some more ideas to supplement my humus and salad wrap staple diet.
Any good books etc??
Thankyou.

Hi, topsi.

www.veganparent.com for some recipe and meal ideas.

www.amazon.co.uk/Vegan-Vengeance-Delicious-Animal-free-Recipes/dp/1904943667/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=U TF8&qid=1278891023&sr=1-1 is often touted as a good recipe book.

Did you also want books to help you on the way to a vegan lifestyle? e.g. ones about the health benefits of a vegan lifestyle, ones detailing the practices of the meat and dairy industry, etc?

There's also a newish thread here for vegans, if you want to join:

Good luck and enjoy!

Hi Topsi

I have been a vegan for 20 years and my partner too. My son, 9, is a vegetarian - he reserves the right to eat cake at parties - and really the right not to have to quiz whoever made the food when he is out the house.

We use a lot of middle eastern and far eastern recipes and my favourite book is Maddhur Jaffrey's Middle Eastern Cookery.

My favourite site is the post punk kitchen: theppk.com/

Have fun experimenting
