In a nutshell - woman (with dc present) sworn at by assistant with Tourettes, woman felt uncomfortable.
Anyone who seems to think it is OK to feel uncomfortable or that the woman would have been better off in a non-customer facing role is shouted down to an extent beyond belief. All I get is DDA this bla bla bla Discrimination that bla bla bla
I am sick and fed up with it. I am not saying this lady should be discriminated against or not employed. But there comes a point when customers' sensibilities surely need to be taken into consideration as well.
It is perfectly reasonable not to like hearing words like cnt and wanker when you are being served in a shop imo. There must be other jobs someone affected by this condition could do which would not* offend customers.
There. Said my piece. I am off to hide the sodding thread before punching a hole in my screen.
