I never thought I'd end up here

Too many trolls at the moment, and every time I open a thread, I am turning into Miss Marple trying to work out if it is a troll. I have wasted far too much time reading threads that turn out to have been made up.

I really can't be bothered any more.

In the 7 1/2 years I have been here, MN has been brilliant. There are so many funny, compassionate, wise and witty posters. I have really benefited from some posters' advice, and hopefully some my contributions have struck a chord with someone out there?

So thanks vipers. Hopefully it is just adieu, and I will maybe pop back at Christmas to see if all has settled down again.

You're not the only one who feels like this. Sorry you have to go. It's a real shame Mnet would rather the site populated by trolls than genuine posters.

Clearly trolls click more links and buy more products than the rest of us.

I think that it has got quite serious on here recently, or maybe I must spend too much time in Aibu. I miss the laughs a bit, some Mners used to post some really funny well written stuff, which I don't find so much now.

It's as though there is a subtle-ish sustained attack on MN, to make it all a bit shit, that MNHQ has yet to wake up to.

It's usually nice round here at Christmas.
If I had invested time on threads that turned out to be trolls, I'd be joining you.
I tend to keep away from relationship threads as these are usually where the trolls are.
I've heard lots of people talking about particular threads in code where they suspect trolls, but alas they go right over my head and I haven't a clue the ones they are talking about

The trolls do seem to have gotten out of hairy hand just lately.
