I just want you know my arse is way huger better than Pippa's

Cynner · 31/08/2012 14:29

Damn it! Why didn't that scurvy line through thingy work!

PMSL! I am going back to writing letters!

THERhubarb · 31/08/2012 14:33

What's going on 'ere then?

Shall I add my tuppence?

Ok, without actually reading any of the threads at all so not having the faintest inkling what has actually gone on can I hazard a guess? A thread was started. It turned into a bunfight. Some name changers slagged off some regulars and there were cries for MNHQ to come in and sort it all out. But they didn't.

Is that right or am I totally off the mark?

BaronessBomburst · 31/08/2012 14:41

usualsuspect I'm not in your quiche, and often think that what you post is a bit mean. I also thought that you were rotten to the OP who seemed to be writing tongue-in-cheek and was clearly having a shit time. However, if you go, I will miss you and think that you are definitely part of the rich tapestry of personalties that is MN. Have a large G&T and stay. and let's face it, Netmums won't have you anyway. Grin

Chubfuddler · 31/08/2012 14:41

Totally off the mark actually.

Hullygully · 31/08/2012 14:43

mark........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Rhubs

THERhubarb · 31/08/2012 14:43

Really Chub? So no bunfighting at all then? No criticism of the way MNHQ have handled things?

How very odd.

THERhubarb · 31/08/2012 14:44

Hey, blue moon tonight!

For once.

PippasArse · 31/08/2012 14:45

fenton

I mentioned someone called me royalty once and then Laurie joked was I pippa middletons arse or something

so I name changed, was trying to make usual laugh/lighten the mood

germyrabbit · 31/08/2012 14:45

storm in a teacup, best left alone now

fgs it wasn't even that bad in the grand scheme of this site.

PippasArse · 31/08/2012 14:46

baroness usual doesn't have a frigging quiche

OhChristFENTON · 31/08/2012 14:52

Ah, thanks Trin. It is a brilliant name, now I know it's Pippa Middleton and not Pippa the small Barbie-like doll I had back in the 70's. Anyone else have one of those? they had really bendy legs, - I over bent mine and the wire poked out through her flesh, - wouldn't have passed health and safety these days.

I would love to have Pippa Middleton's arse, - so would DH for that matter Hmm

THERhubarb · 31/08/2012 14:53

Hey, we all have our bad days when the smallest things get to us and we flounce off. I've done it, loads of posters have done it.

It's part of the fabric of Mumsnet and will happen over and over on a more frequent basis as the site grows and attracts all kinds of weirdos people.

threesocksmorgan · 31/08/2012 15:07

I hope Usual changes her mind, I know a lot of people just find this stuff funny and think oh lets just make jokes,
but she is obviously upset and didn't do anything wrong.

OhChristFENTON · 31/08/2012 15:11

Nobody did anything wrong.

Bloody hell, there's a lot of it about today.

THERhubarb · 31/08/2012 15:13

That's my point threesocks, Mumsnet can be like that at times and it's easy for us to say "oh but nothing happened!". Mumsnet can feel incredibly personal at times and if you happen to be in a bad place then it can get too much to bear. I've cried over threads and I'm damn sure that the posters involved never meant to really upset me and they probably didn't even give me a second thought when they logged off. It's just the way it goes sometimes.

Turning the thread into something more lighthearted though does pave the way for that person to re-enter as it diffuses the situation Smile

Thumbwitch · 31/08/2012 15:14

I had a Pippa doll, OhChrist - and her pony. And her darker friend, who I think was called Naomi. I used to lose their shoes a lot (they were teeny weeny)

OhChristFENTON · 31/08/2012 15:17

I think my sister ate her shoes.

Thumbwitch · 31/08/2012 15:18

Hmm, appears she was called Marie, not Naomi. Hey ho. It was a looong time ago!! We did have Princess Pippa as well...

Pippa's black friend with the beautiful Afro was called Mandy.

I am sure

DoUntoOlympians · 31/08/2012 16:11

I seem to remember having one called Britt. Confused She was very tanned and very blonde.

I thought there was a Naomi, too.
