See ya.

OP posts:
Pinot · 31/08/2012 11:11

Fiction, aye.

Designed to provoke a reaction I wonder? If it was, it sure worked :(

foxinsocks · 31/08/2012 11:14

I don't even like quiches. Evil use of eggs and cheese. Omelettes far better.

SuperB0F · 31/08/2012 11:14

No, she didn't. Not by me, anyway. I used the word cunt to describe the woman's husband. Usual assumed I meant her and got annoyed and went into conspiracy theory mode. I clarified, on the thread, and it's all there if you read it again. Whether anybody else said as much, I don't know. I don't think I can explain any further, this has all gone bonkers.

I've said all this up there ^^

Have a good weekend, everyone- I'm off for a break and a RL jolly darn sarf, so if anybody wants to blame me for their flounce, can you hang on until some time next week, and I'll try to insult them in a veiled way they can get really wound up about when I get back, ok?

Mintyy · 31/08/2012 11:15

Pack your sun cream Boffy, its quite sunny down here atm!

Northernlurkerisonholiday · 31/08/2012 11:16

'but didn't usual get called a cunt in a 'not directly but actually quite directly' way? ' No she didn't. That point has been answered already. The poster who used that phrase was addressing the OP of the other thread and comparing her behaviour to that of her shagging around-not coming across with the cash-ex.

LadyBeagleEyes · 31/08/2012 11:17

It was an odd thread.
The Op said they were so poor they had only pasta for dinner but had a glass of wine and was smoking cigarettes which she said cost £6.40 or summit.
So she can't have been that broke. Everybody I know who smokes smoke rollies.
Picky here I know, but it did make me think Hmm.

Northernlurkerisonholiday · 31/08/2012 11:22

X posted.

Right - I'm really quite cross now.

THere is afaik no clique ganging up on Usual.

There was one thread which she and others took very personally.

I like a bit of straight talking when somebody needs it but context is everything.

GetOrfAKAMrsUsainBolt · 31/08/2012 11:24

I HATE this. I do agree with pag that there is something odd going on.

But the ReLeNtnessness of the snipy twats - on every thread there is some shitty comment. On the other thread where hecate was upset some cow posted YAAAWN attention seeking.

However there are so many posters who make this place a joy - lots on thslis thread, BIWI, bof, pinot, hully, minty, pag, honeydragon, LBE, maryz - good people who normally make mumsnet a pleasant place to be. But the rows and fights. I have had it up to HERE

Sorryyyy like I said I haven't been able to read all threads, I didn't name anyone because clearly I wasn't sure and couldn't remember what exactly was said I just woke up this morning and that was my thought.

I'm pretty certain the op did though. I can se how BOF's post got misunderstood and sorry to bring it up again as its clearly been 'done' Blush

I'm orf to walk the dog.

BIWI · 31/08/2012 11:27

I think that too many people come to MN believing the 'nest of vipers' description, and think that they have to behave like that to fit in. The whole fight club atmosphere of AIBU does not help matters.

I think we all need to think a bit more about posts that we are reading, and certainly before we post.

Pinot · 31/08/2012 11:27

Is it just end of the summer holidays MADNESS?

GetOrfAKAMrsUsainBolt · 31/08/2012 11:29

I don't believe that there is ganging up at all.

I still think the op was ill advised and the tone odd, but bloody hell we all have disagreements like that all the time on mumsnet - I can disagree with someone vociferously one minute and the next be in full agreement on another thread.

That has been one of the joys of this place.

Unless I have been getting the point of mumnste fucking wrong for 6 yrars. Grin

Mintyy · 31/08/2012 11:31

Couldn't agree more biwi (about the fightclub reputation).

GetOrfAKAMrsUsainBolt · 31/08/2012 11:31

Oh fucking hell BIWI don't ask me to think

GetOrfAKAMrsUsainBolt · 31/08/2012 11:31

Oh fucking hell BIWI don't ask me to think

BIWI · 31/08/2012 11:33
Grin

Think once, think twice ...

GetOrfAKAMrsUsainBolt · 31/08/2012 11:34

Bof if you are coming dahn sahf come to see me and I will show you the highlights of Gloucester (there is only one, looking at the cathedral spires from the vantage of a pub beer garden).

Mintyy · 31/08/2012 11:34

"6 yrars" is that how you say years Getorf? I never thought of you as specially plummy before Grin.

Of course the correct Mumsnet way to say years is yuz.

MrsRhettButler · 31/08/2012 11:35

Do you not have spreadsheets GetOrf? Shock You're supposed to remember who you disagree with and never ever agree with them ever again! Wink

Pinot · 31/08/2012 11:35

I wish BIWI lived in my pocket, to dispense wise and calm advice any time I need her (far too often) :(

BIWI · 31/08/2012 11:36

That would very quickly become massively irritating and dull, Pinot!

Pinot · 31/08/2012 11:38

For you, yes. I never said it was a good job Wink

DollyTwat · 31/08/2012 11:45

I think we all need to sit in a circle and hold hands

Hully can you start us off with a round of Londons burning or something

solidgoldbrass · 31/08/2012 11:48

It really is a bit whinyarse-tastic on here at the moment. I would say it's mass PMT and chuck boxes of Efamol at the lot of you, because I am menopausal and Past All That.

Only I am full of irrational rages and terrors just now and have a bellyache so perhaps not as menopausal as I thought. And MNing to distract myself a little bit from the endless wait for the courier WITH OUR PASSPORTS...
