D0oinMeCleanin · 30/08/2012 23:41

Ooh usual you nasty wee girl you!

At this point I would say that I thought something was a bit off about that thread too, but that would be nasty, so I won't Wink

Chubfuddler · 30/08/2012 23:42

Not me. Never seen the op before.

honeydragon · 30/08/2012 23:42

I am really quite poorly and getting confused. Usual are you staying please?

usualsuspect · 30/08/2012 23:44

Well I've just read Cockypants delightful post to me on the other thread and I'm all rahhhhhhhhh again now

OP posts:
MmeLindor · 30/08/2012 23:44

Well, Usual, we shall have to agree to disagree on this one.

Stick around and we can find something to agree on.

I am temping this week in an IT company and the young men were chatting about girls today. I felt really really old.

perfumedlife · 30/08/2012 23:44

I saw it exactly as MmeLindor. I thought the op was saying here I am living a different life, it's as hard as I thought and I should never have judged. She sounded really down. I know what it's like to be poor and then have money and lose it, for whatever reason. Even now I am comfortable, I loathe the neighbour who sneered at me unloading Asda shopping from my car 'Oh I see you've been slumming it in Spasda' Angry Total ignorant snob.

And I think usualsuspect is a cool poster who is blunt straight talking but kind normallly and tonight seemed to me an over reaction. I don't know about any back story though as I rarely post these days so apologies if I'm wrong. But don't flounce usual . Will be a ghost town soon at this rate.

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 30/08/2012 23:44

I didn't though I agree some knew her, but they all seemed to be sympathetic so I assumed she'd posted about it before.

I joined in late so I saw all her comments. She had apologised by then and explained a bit more about her situation.

foxinsocks · 30/08/2012 23:45

Yes I get that at work. It's like eavesdropping on another world isn't it. A new stage of life!

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 30/08/2012 23:45

Don't be all raaaaaaah. Be all weeeeeeeeeee.

foxinsocks · 30/08/2012 23:46

Are you back in the uk MmeLindor? (were you ever here, can't remember now)

Hullygully · 30/08/2012 23:47

There isn't nearly enough agreeing to disagree on this yere site.

QuintessentialShadows · 30/08/2012 23:47

Ponders shipping in Asda - sounds interesting. I am IN!

MmeLindor · 30/08/2012 23:50

I am back, Fox. I haven't lived in UK for 20 years so it is an adventure.

20 years ago next Monday, I left UK and my life changed forever.

foxinsocks · 30/08/2012 23:53

Wow. You enjoying being back?

SuperB0F · 30/08/2012 23:53

I didn't post on that thread to attack usual. And I've never attacked her in the past. Quite the reverse. I actually remember being up late into the night with her when she was upset quite recently. I posted to say to the OP that she should stop justifying herself to all the wankers (ALL), and to thank her stars she wasn't a cunt (meaning like her husband). Usual then snappily asked if she was a cunt or a wanker, I replied by saying I disagreed with her, and I thought her unkindness had unleashed a torrent of twats on the thread, which it really did. But I wasn't rude to her, or attacking. There was absolutely no need for her to take the hump at me.

Quite how this has turned into a conspiracy to drive usual off MN, I don't know.

Usual- stay, go, take a break, whatever. It can be a bit shit on here sometimes, I often feel pissed off with it myself. But there's enough crap around to get upset about without inventing evil plots to oust you- it's completely unnecessary.

usualsuspect · 30/08/2012 23:56

Tonight was the first night ever that MN has made me cry.

Time to walk away when that happens I reckon.

If thats being a drama queen then sorry but thats how I feel.

OP posts:
Northernlurkerisonholiday · 30/08/2012 23:57

Uusal - I haven't seen anybody post that they knew the OP of the other thread from before that thread. I certainly don't remember the name.

Hullygully · 30/08/2012 23:57
QuickLookUsainBolt · 30/08/2012 23:58

I think usual is upset, I dont think telling her she was wr

NewStartSameStory · 30/08/2012 23:58

Then take a break. Don't flounce in the heat of the moment. If you decide you want to flounce at a later date then do it. But not when you are upset.

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 30/08/2012 23:59

People did seen to know she'd had some troubles.

Usual im sorry you feel like that. That's really rubbish.

AmberLeaf · 30/08/2012 23:59

Read it Hully

foxinsocks · 31/08/2012 00:01

I haven't read it and I am sure my life will not be any worse off for not reading it

Don't cry usual

Come sit next to me and debate whether to eat dinner

I am 5 hours behind you all. I think I have put on about 5kg (seriously) and dh is talking about dinner fgs

I had a McD for lunch and they put about 3 inches of cream on the milkshake. I have never in my life eaten this much unhealthy food. No wonder they have an obesity problem here

And don't even mention Churros

perfumedlife · 31/08/2012 00:02

Cry, sleep and decide later usual . Loads of people are worried and on edge right now and when we feel attacked or patronised it's hard not to react. Very hard. But worth it to cool off, especially if you are proven right and unable to come back and gloat cause you've flounced and de-reg'd Grin Maddening that.

Empusa · 31/08/2012 00:03

Usual don't go! I may not agree with you on all things, but I always feel less miserable on the never ending stream of benefit bashing threads knowing you are there alongside me. It feels slightly less hopeless.
