Rhubarb - I know (a bit) how you feel. A now banned mumsnetter who knew my real name, posted it and my mumsnet nick together on her blog, accusing me of all sorts. Of course, none of my replies denying it got published, and the blog site refused to remove my name from the blog. It made me feel absolutely sick to my stomach, and scared me a lot, but I decided I had to get past it.

I hate to say it but some Mumsnetters use Mumsnet to make themselves popular and for that they will get in with the it crowd and do whatever it takes to please them. If you are not part of the it crowd and are a vocal Mumsnetter then you are a viable target.

However I do believe that most Mumsnetters are fantastic and this is a valuable community. But as SDTG's story illustrates, you've just got to be careful about what information you give out.

There are all kinds of weirdos on here who think that duck fucking is ok and who have minge competitions. Those are the ones you really need to stay away from.
