Like it says above.

I normally lurk

Cant believe how nasty some people are when you clearly feel embaressed enough and feel utterly stupid.

Should never have posted the truth, as it was used to tear strips off me and my big fat mistake.

Shame as there was some nice posters.

OP posts:

Had to quickly read the thread - YWBU but hey, you admitted it which no one ever does was very brave of you. You'll get over it. Dont leave because of one thread - what's the point? Buck up, report the thread, change your name, whatever, and carry on.

Honeydragon · 21/08/2011 20:47

if you do want the thread deleted above your op in the name bar it says on the right

Add message Report Message Poster

Click on report and say you want the thread deleted Smile

tethersend · 21/08/2011 20:54

Your name is namechange100- another one won't hurt, why flounce? Confused

wannaBe · 21/08/2011 21:08

IMO this topic should be renamed "attention seekers corner."

So -

You changed your name (so nobody actually knows who you are anyway).

You accused someone of theft and then found the ring and admitted you were wrong.

And under the namechange you are now flouncing?

What is it you want, for people to say "oh please don't go,"?

Can't be doing with people who come on to publically tell everyone they're leaving - even more so when nobody knows who they even were in the first place.

It's nothing short of attention seeking and is quite childish really.

I only read the beginning of your thread, but if you have since found the ring then you deserved to be flamed Grin

Suck it up, change your name and get over it.

If you want a thread deleted then go to the thread and near the top there will be the word "report". You can click on it and say "hello I started this thread and now I want it gone because I have made a tit of myself" and MNHQ will delete it.

ilovesprouts · 21/08/2011 21:27

I have generally found that if you ask nicely they will remove.

NormanTebbit · 21/08/2011 21:39

Not everyone gets flamed. It's not something you should just expect.

Op good for you for coming back on that thread. Some people love to be right and can't get over it when they are.

Name change and forget about it.

NormanTebbit · 21/08/2011 21:42

Also it hasn't maligned anyones reputation as no one knows who he is

Poshbaggirl · 21/08/2011 21:57

Make a mistake, learn from it, grow.

I'm certainly learning alot on MN, only been on a couple of months and have made all the classic mistakes, but i'm learning alot about myself and other people. I'm a bit too sensitive about what people say and get a bit arsey sometimes when i aught to just ignore.
I had a private message thanking me for something i suggested, which made me all warm and fuzzy. Its not all scary out there, except of course the feminism dept, where i wouldnt dare go. Smile

Honeydragon · 21/08/2011 21:59

Beertricks. I know its cruel, and I know I shouldn't but I am roaring with laughter at you being rofl'd by MNHQ Grin

this is despite, that when I cocked up a thread on the sales board and ended up posting it twice. I emailed them to ask for one to be deleted so people didn't think I was trying to "bump" my item, and was a BAD person. I was my most grovelly and in return received

Dear Honeydragon

Thanks for your outstanding integrity and excellent moral fibre for reporting yourself

best wishes

MNHQ

Blush Grin

I wonder whether HQ ever take their tongue out their cheeks? Grin

I would also say that if people don't like flouncing threads than perhaps it would be prudent to hide the topic that is Flouncers Corner

2shoes · 21/08/2011 22:01

report it and ask for it to be deleted, hopefully mn hq will do it and then go back to your usual name and forget it

OP, I don't know if you're still here, but if you're reading this, please try to just forget the other thread and try to enjoy the good things about MN. I lurked on the other thread and thought you were very brave to admit you were wrong. Everyone makes mistakes, and there are a few people on MN (as in the rest of life) who are venomous and enjoy kicking people when they're down. Try not to worry - you are pregnant and hormonal and made an understandable mistake which you have owned up to. I hope you stick around. I have been here since 2006 and have had a few mild kickings, but have had far more warmth and support. I hope that if you stay you find the same.

BoulevardOfBrokenSleep · 21/08/2011 23:01

Aargh, the bloody thread's gone now, can someone tell me where the ring was?!

Did the tights over the hoover nozzle do the trick?
