I too thought I would just pop in to say my good-byes.

Although I started a couple of successful threads for much of the time I've been here I have felt on the wrong wavelength (I'm rural and middle aged)and I really don't want to keep on talking to myself.

So sorry to everyone. I hope it all goes well for the non troll-hunters in this community; a pity I never fitted in.

I've examined my motives. I've been back over the threads that made me lose sleep, asking myself whether I was out of order and if I'd imagined the facetious twisting of my words by Mumsnet Big Names. I concluded that I deliberately drew fire once only, in an attempt to focus the argument - that failed.

I don't think I am unreasonable, ignorant or illogical. I'm certainly not offensive. My problem, I think, must be age and experience. Older people have always been shouted down by the young, who think they've discovered everything for the first time and disrespect the views of those who've held them longer, and have considered them more fully.

I feel sad but perhaps this is the stimulus I needed to invent another style of meeting place for women with brains. Meanwhile, I'm still reading but shan't post again.

I never thought I'd flounce! But it seemed rude to just disappear; so many of you have been so lovely, and interesting. Thanks.

Hey guys I think it is pefectly okay to not be one of the crowd. I am young-ish and I most certainly enjoy listening to older people. Some of the Stately Homers changed my life (thread for people from dysfunctional families) but yes unfortunatley there are some nasty types on here but thats life.

Don't flounce, this site needs all types to balance it out. I dread to think if only the Mumsnet Big Names were left .

I pop back every few weeks to post in a couple of thread so I suppose I should say I have unflounced. Not that most people would notice or care.

The few people I was really comfortable with seem to have vanished so after a very short lived return I'm off again. Back to real life.

You cant post a lot, if this thread is still in your "threads I am on list", for the last, 6 months? Or how do you keep track of this particular thread?
Is it to keep a track record of how much you are NOT replied to?
There are very rarely replies in flouncers corner....

People name change all the time. I dont know who Im talking to. I prefer it that way tbh.
