Saw it on dvd last night and it was excellent- no swearing or sex, just a beautifully observed film.

Are you having a laugh?
Not a good film and the way everybody including the 17 year old's parents thought their relationship was ok even though the 'boyfriend' was in his 30's
It was just icky.

LOVEd it
schroeder i think you missed the point entirely

her point was that it wasnt ok but her parents were taken in

FoodIsMyLife · 09/04/2010 11:46

I watched it last night, thought it was very good

it's based on Lynn Barber's life

I do admit to shouting at the telly when her parent's decided that she didn't need an Oxford degree if she was getting married

was ok - not what I had expected.

As you say- no swearing or sex.

That's the point!

It's a brilliant film. Cary Mulligan was excellent in it.
