www.imdb.com/title/tt1029234/

If you are thinking about watching this I urge you to think again. I watched it last night and haven't been so scared/ horrified / nauseous at a film ever.

Recommendations don't come much more persuasive than this - I'll add it to my Lovefilm list right now!

monkeytrousers · 18/06/2009 18:52

We watched it a few weeks ago. It was a good idea streched out waaay too long.

DrDad - check out Quarrentine, it's a US remakeof Rec which is also much better.

And Cloverfield if you haven't already seen it.

There's also Cold Prey which is interesting.

WTF??

monkeytrousers · 18/06/2009 19:53

?

What??

MadreInglese · 19/06/2009 08:13

Just read the IMDB blurb, looks like a right load of slasher bizarreness!

Thunderduck · 19/06/2009 10:14

Better than Rec? Surely not. Rec was great.

MadreInglese · 19/06/2009 13:47

Rec sounds much better actually

monkeytrousers · 19/06/2009 15:04

Quarentine is just a better made film. Better tension and shocks. And it took the supernatural elemment out of it which made it more scary

Thunderduck · 19/06/2009 23:56

I'll try to see it, and decide which I prefer.

drdad · 20/06/2009 16:04

monkeytrousers - I've seen Rec amd quite enjoyed it. Is Quarantine better?

monkeytrousers · 20/06/2009 16:30

But it mught be a case of which one you saw first. But I did think it was a better crafted and executed film.

Have you seen Cloverfield?

monkeytrousers · 20/06/2009 16:50

(just edit out that first 'but' will you)

Thunderduck · 20/06/2009 21:53

I can't say I have. Is it worth watching?

I've Googled Rec vs Quarantine and the general opinion is that Rec is superior, but I'll watch both and draw my own conclusions.

drdad · 22/06/2009 16:45

Saw and enjoyed Cloverfield. Probably the best of the Blair Witch inspired 'shaky-cam' horrors. Have not seen any of the recent rash of Hollywood remakes. Thought the original of Shutter was good, though.

MadreInglese · 22/06/2009 16:48

I saw Cloverfield but couldn't watch til the end as it made me feel horrendously travel sick, haven't ever had that with a film before
