saw it yesterday for my birthday.. was good fun though we missed the first few minutes as inexplicably there were no trailers before hand!

and I do think it needed more of Ryan Reynolds snark in it.. IMHO ..

I saw this too thought it was wonderful escapist fabulousness. Really enjoyable and worth a watch.

Loved the little appearance of Scott in his younger days and when you know who arrived at the end. Really good.

I saw it TOO and was expecting it to be pants, thanks to a) multiple poor reviews and b) poss. ill-advised watching of X-Men 3 on TV a week ago.

Anyway I loved it. It had a) Hugh Jackman looking HOT, b) lots of action/SFX, c) plenty of subplots/other mutants to keep my tired mum brain struggling to keep up, d) the odd bit of witty repartee, e) Ryan Reynolds being amusing and dashing, although sadly for far too short a time.

I would say to anyone looking for an entertaining night out, go for it. But it helps if you have seen at least one previous X-Men film and can suspend your disbelief/scepticism.

I'm wondering if it's too scary for ds1, who's just turned 6? It's rated PG13 here (Canada)...

I loved it as did DS. Hugh Jackman was gorgeous and the film kept me gripped. Wasn't expecting to like it so was pleasantly surprised
