Thinking of taking my 10 year old daughter and a friend but was surprised to see its a 12A. Has anyone seen it, would it be suitable for 10 year olds ? Thanks

Ee saw it today - there is a scene where they talk about the main characted possibly being gay and a few other innuendo's that adults will get and kids won't. However Zach Efron is looking mighty fine and is is worth it solely to have a valid excuse to ogle him for 2 hours. Oooh young man!

I took my 8 year old to see this (I know, flame me why dontcha). She is a huge Zac Efron fan and really enjoyed it.

I guess the most full on scene is where they hand out wrapped condoms in a sex-ed class. BUT DD didn't pick up on this at all - they could have been sweets for all she knew. And Zac uses the scene to talk about 'saving yourself for marriage and the joy of holding your baby girl in your arms etc'. It is really very moralistic.

That said, we also went to see Marley and Me recently, which is a PG and half way through (after Jen and Owen are getting it on for the zillionth time in their quest to start a family, and Marley is humping the furniture and another guy is swearing) DD whispers "Mum I really think this should have been a 12a. It contains language and scenes of a sexual nature." (She can read the back of the dvd cases. She ain't stupid).

So basically, '17 Again' I'd say yay for a 10 year old girl. Marley and Me, uh uh.

(Although both Marley and Zac are super cute)

I took almost 9yo DS2 to see it, and I thought it was fine. There wasn't really anything that worried me (or him) He loved it.
