Is it worth purchasing? I haven't seen either the original or the sequel yet.

I've watched a few clips and Kroenen looks like such an interesting villain, that I'm considering buying it.

Definatly worth having both in your collection. But go to somewhere like www.play.com and see if they have any deals on it at the moment.

There was a few things I had issue with but then I am a die hard Hellboy reader and I am picky , but good adventure romps.

If you want to see a good film at the cinema and you like comic book adaptations then I can highly recommend Watchman, but it is very,very violent. A fantastic adaptation of the book though and the actors are fantastic, especially the guy who plays Dr Manhatten.
