Are you distraught about the film adaptation or the plot?
I'm a Hardy gal myself: can't stand happy endings

I haven't seen the film though, is it good?

Oh God. SEA I can't ever shake those images and words, it was probably the saddest thing I have ever seen and it must have been about 10 years ago

Flightattendant7 · 03/01/2009 15:13

NOBODY WATCH IT!! It's really, really, really unbearably sad.

southeastastra · 03/01/2009 15:17

lol flight, it was a good film. just so sad was reading the ending was abrupt compared to the book.

Oh God! Jude!! I remember hiring that on video when it came out and could not believe it when THAT thing happened! I had to switch it off for a bit. One of the most shocking scenes of all time in my personal opinion. I was bloody distraught at the end! Christopher Ecclestone and Kate Winslet acted their socks off in it didn't they?

Ha! I just had the following conversation with dh:
Me: Do we have a copy of Jude on DVD
Him: No, I don't think so. The recent-ish one?
Me: Yeah, have you seen it?
Him: Yes.
Me: I think I'd like to.
Him: You have seen it, I think we went to see it together at the cinema.
Me: Did I? Hmm... Oh yes, something about butchering a pig at the start?

I have a memory like a sieve. I still can't remember much about it though (but love the book), so definitely want to watch it again.
