Michaela Coel and Anne Hathaway + a starry cohort in the background. Worth seeing before you’ve read too much about it - but this review is pretty much what I felt coming out of the cinema:

Michaela Coel is in a Hollywood film - how are you not all rushing to see it?

(Actually she’s in two right now. No idea why my local cinema is dragging its feet about showing The Christophers.)

I love Michaela Coel, but the film sounds bonkers! The review isn’t great either: ‘hollow nonsense’ (also 2* in The Guardian). Is it worth seeing then OP?

I’d say so - mainly for her performance. And it’s visually arresting. Reviews talk about the money spent on some aspects.

It’s possible that further contemplation may persuade me it’s a masterpiece. Just not quite there yet …
