Has anyone watched this?

Its got some big names it, and good individual performances, but didn’t really work for me. it seemed lame and inconclusive.

(We wrongly suspected the lawyer was the blackmailer. )

Dull. Really dull. Couldn’t find it in me to care enough about any of it and it didn’t even try to make me care. I can’t actually explain what was so wrong with it though.

I’m not a film snob, I’ll watch most things and do enjoy some really stupid films as long as they’re entertaining, this really has nothing about it at all.

I know what you mean when you say you can’t really explain what was wrong with it. It almost tried too hard, and I felt elements weren’t connected. They brought in a big committee, but they didn’t really do anything for example.

I thought the scene with the lawyer at the beginning was too long, and didn’t really need the toilet scene which was infantile. Also I didn’t like how he portrayed the lawyer - like a David Williams Little Britain character, although it toned down later.

Yes a couple of things that went nowhere; the committee, the lifelong friends who other than being told they’re lifelong friends you would just assume they were hangers on because there didn’t seem to be much going on there and the lawyer all of a sudden being human with his son but then that was the end of that. All really odd.

Maybe it’s really funny and relatable in an eye-rolling way to people who work in the industry (I can’t think of any other reason why any of those involved would be a part of it). But that’s a very small audience and you wonder who it was actually made for. Or was it just a Jonah Hill vanity project 🤷‍♀️
