Agreed, such a roller coaster of emotion, uncomfortable with the school experience and bullying, the situation at home, but wow when the right people gave him a chance. At times sad, others funny. Brilliantly acted, and a real lesson in acceptance and inclusion. Loved it

Fantastic film.

Moen · 14/03/2026 08:17

Watched it last week, absolutely brilliant film.

Agreed, one of the best films I’ve seen in a long while. Cant believe he’s not been nominated for an Oscar.

Littlebelina · 14/03/2026 09:05

It hasn't been released in North America yet so isn't eligible for this year's oscars. He could be nominated next year but might depend on what else is around

I really enjoyed it, but found some parts were rushed (moving out of home, drug dealing). I also found Dottie’s awful Scottish accent really distracting.

His book is currently only 99p on Kindle.

I watched a couple of the documentaries recently, it was nice to see the drummer from one of the documentaries in the film, can't remember his name

Agreed! The acting was so good, and the relationships portrayed felt genuine

We watched this last week and loved it! It was so upsetting/sad in parts thankfully the funny bits lightened it. The actor who played him in his teenage years was fabulous.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 14/03/2026 10:54

I'm a big fan of all the actors in this
