RIP Rob Reiner

American director Rob Reiner, known for such films as Stand By Me, When Harry Met Sally, and The Princess Bride was murdered, along with his wife, in their home over the weekend. Allegedly, they were killed by their own son who had a long history of drug abuse and mental problems. Just so very sad. It’s been a while since the death of a famous person shocked me, but this one really came out of left field.

Very sad situation. He was a talented director. Rip.

It's very sad indeed. The three films above are brilliant. The Princess Bride alone has brought many people so much enjoyment, which is at least an amazing legacy. RIP Rob and Michele.

Tragic to have their own child do that

This is so awful. I think WHMS may be my all time favourite film. Just about every line is quotable..and Spinal Tap! I watched The American President yesterday. I hadn't realised that was one of his.
What an appalling way to die., and their daughter found them.
