What do people think of this film? I thought it was quite good, but went on a bit long. How many shots of burning woodland do we need?

(Spoiler) Also, we never did find out whether the people who ended up in the river survived or not, and there seemed to be an awful lot of firemen wandering around doing nothing much. Also, where was all the smoke?

I also wonder about the people in the water!

I thought it was good in a 1970s disaster movie way. Nothing too profound or interesting but wow, what a brave guy if it happened remotely like the film. I would love the real Kevin to do an episode of life changing podcast.

I came on this thread because I read Last Bus.
Very quickly realised I was thinking about the wrong film.

Thought it was excellent. Although I did see it at the cinema, which helped.

Great performance from Matthew McConaughey.

Yes, he was very good in it. Actually, to be fair, there were good performances all round - the teacher, depot manager and the kids.
