I saw the premiere at the London Film Festival and it's out today! I almost didn't book it, partly because I knew it would be everywhere before long and partly because I thought it would be a pretty standard crime caper but the prescence of Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst is guaranteed to get my arse in a seat and I'm really glad I went.
I had never heard of Jeffery Manchester or his story, but apparently the film is pretty accurate (and there are some clips of the real life people at the end), and the whole thing was a lot warmer and kinder than I was expecting. I think I love Kirsten Dunst a bit more every time I see her, the church and community storyline was lovely and Peter Dinklage, Ben Mendelsohn and everybody else were great too.
A new Christmas film in the Die Hard mould, IMHO
