Loved it. This is how you do a sequel, after a significant break, right. Unlike Beetlejuice 2 which was just a disappointment this managed to capture the magic of the original whilst being funny and full of heart. Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsey Lohan shine. Funny and touching and worth a watch.

I agree! I was impressed .

I agree, I really enjoyed it.

I loved it! Laughed out loud all the way through. Jamie Lee Curtis is simply excellent at being a teenage girl and loved her weaving all the British terms in.

Anyone a Good Place fan?? I kept thinking where I’d seen Lindsay Lohan’s fiance - it’s only bloody Jason Mendoza!

Yes! I was half expecting Janet to appear!

Loved the nod to Mean Girls with Anna getting married on October 3rd too.

I've just looked at the trailer and don't get it. Is this a sequel to Freaky Friday? And one of the characters is Jodie Foster's but not played by Jodie Foster?

There was a remake starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsey Lohan. This is the sequel to that film.

Thanks - that had completely passed me by. I’ll have to catch up!

Me and both my kids, one 14 and one 7 all really enjoyed it. We watched Freaky Friday the day before on Netflix and then went to cinema. So much fun and I loved the fact they used so many of the same actors from the first film.

I’m now going to have to watch the remake first! Thank you, good to know

Bigearringsbigsmile · 30/08/2025 22:01

It was brilliant! Really really funny and silly. We really en joyed it!

Watched this finally today, it was brilliant! So funny and heartfelt at times. I loved the bit in the record shop when JLC couldn’t get up, so well done and JLC is so excellent at playing a teenager. Thought all the women were great in it.
