I was hesitant to see this but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the tone was perfect and barked back to the original films in many ways. I preferred Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luther but Nicholas Hoult is good. I would have liked more music in terms of how it was used in TGOTG films but that’s just me. The actor playing Superman was excellent as was the supporting cast. This and The New Avengers gives me hope for superhero films.

I enjoyed it! Favourite was the dog. And I didn’t recognise Nathan Fillion, omg the hair! But my DD says it’s in the comics.
And loved Gary.

Lioks so fun! I love love love the old Superman movies. I see it’s a 12A - I’m trying to gauge whether or not to take my kids in the summer hols. They’re both pretty seasoned cinema goers but at 7 and 5 they might be a bit young?

@LassoOfTruth went to see it yesterday. Honestly I think a 5 year old would be too young to understand the story. A lot of it is quite slow and talky for children of that age. There were quite a few kids in the cinema getting bored, constantly getting up etc. A mature 7 year old maybe, but I would wait til they're a bit older.

@LassoOfTruth I’d wait to see it when it comes to sky box office for kids that age. I went to see it and agree with pp it’s quite long and slow for children to really get a lot of it. I found it ok but nothing wow. My 14yo DS enjoyed it. I Much prefer the avengers and marvel films to DC.

Trailers look good but DS (who really likes the TV series 'Superman & Lois') surprisingly not that keen - will wait for streaming.

It's enjoyable tosh but I can't see myself rewatching it in years to come like I do with the originals. It's not a classic by any means but was good escapism.

It was delightful! DS has been to see it three times, bless him. It was funny and warm hearted.

The squirrel made me laugh.
