Wizard of Oz (as a musical - tbf I'd love to see a beautiful and adaptation of the original novel, but nobody other than Judy Garland, Ray Bolger etc can sing those songs)

Jaws

Virtually all of them. Come up with something original!

Specifically, The Godfather, The Godfather Part 2, Casablanca, Withnail and I, Some Like it Hot.

MOST films should not be re-made. The ones that are re-made are generally poor choices, anyway.

I’ve never understood remaking films. If it exists, then why remake it? Come up with new ideas!!

I Like remakes, it’s a fresh look, and the film is made with current techniques and actors and the perspective of a different director.

A Star is Born has been made 4 times and I like all of them

I really want to see the new Salems Lot

I agreee with everyone’s comments so far

Titanic

I'm a huge Stephen King fan and the new Salem's Lot was pretty disappointing tbh. The Great Escape should never be remade

I don't mind remakes of films based on classic books because I see that as a new adaptation of a book rather than a remake of the film per se.

I prefer more recent versions of Pride and Prejudice, for example, than the Laurence Olivier one which changed the period and plot of the novel.

When there's a good film which is either an original film script or based on a book which is far less well known than the book, so that new filmmakers are remaking a classic film then I think it's pointless and they should be making something original.

The Robert de Niro version of Night of the Hunter was good but the original was so brilliant that it was completely unnecessary.

Most remakes are dire eg The Italian Job.

While the new Salems Lot is watchable, like most Stephen King adaptations it misses out loads from the book. His stuff should always be make into mini series. And you can’t beat the David Soul version of Salems Lot!
