I’m a bit late to this - it came out last November - and now that I’ve watched it I’m totally in love. Social realism - it reminds me of Scrapper - but with an added element of a flight of the imagination. (Mubi - free trial subscription.)
Yes, it has a big name star, Barry Keoghan (kind of as, but also not as, you’d expect), and exemplary performances by two non-professional teen actors, but it’s the ensemble that makes it. And the direction and cinematography of course.
