I've the house to myself while kids are with the ex for a few days and off work - after recommendations for films/tv binges to enjoy some time curled under a cosy blanket.

Recently I’ve ;
rewatched the Bridget jones films and loved them as much as always.
watched Wicked at the cinema and loved it
enjoyed the day of the Jackal
just finished brothers and sisters and station 19, a few Greys left.

so gripping thriller or romance, don’t mind gritty but my attention span can wander so I need to get into it quickly- struggling with black dove. No horror or anything creepy.

I've prime, Netflix, now, Disney so too much choice and tired of doom scrolling endless lists.

Sorry just seen you're struggling with black dove - I'd say go for This Is Us but get the tissues ready! Very similar to Grey's & brothers & sisters.

The Bear on Disney is amazing . Three series in . It does take a while to get into but really worth it .
I just watched The Holdovers on Prime . Had to pay £4.99 for the privilege but was a really moving film and I can see why it won 2 BAFTAs .
The Resident is another medical drama which is quite good too .

I loved This is us, I had to eek it out as couldn’t bear for it to finish- not quite ready for a rewatch, I was recommended A million little things as similar - good but nothing compares.

Thanks all, I started and finished One Day, and enjoyed Joy as well. Think I’ve a few more to keep me going tonight.
