Anyone watched Prima Facie on National theatre at home?

If you haven't, you should.

For a tenner a month (and can cancel any time) you can watch plays that are being formed at famous London theatres. Prima Facie was amazing - I cried. It's exactly like the system I work in, I can tell you - sadly.

I saw it twice at the cinema and cried both times too. Amazing play and Jodie Comer is fantastic.

Me and my then 18 DD did likewise @AltitudeCheck .a-ma-zing performance. I also loved several other plays I watched on NTatHome.

I watched it at the cinema and it was amazing. I would have loved to have seen it live

I listened to the audiobook. Comer is dazzling! I'm going to watch it on National Theatre at home.

I saw it at the cinema and thought she was absolutely incredible. It was so moving and at the end somewhere were absolutely bawling and it had obviously really hit a nerve for them. 😢

I know this isn't what you asked OP but I listened to Jodie read it on the audiobook and it was astonishing. I cried (apart from her being a super-duper bright spark we have similar lives, or had, I have children now).

I was so lucky, I saw her perform this live in the west end - it was a spectacular performance, just breaktaking.

I'd totally agree with you though that NT live is a great subscription. Can I recommend Tom Hiddleston in Corriolanus if it's showing atm, that's excellent. 👌

@ArtfullyCrumpled & @TheCheeseTax the audiobook expands on some of the relationships between Tessa and her colleagues and family. The play is even more intense because the focus is entirely on her. I loved both.

I’ve been gutted not to have found this at a local cinema, so THANK YOU for the pointers towards the NT option. 🤗

Going to ‘save’ it for a quiet day after Christmas.

Thanks, I'll add it to my list :)

Eh, you're welcome :) For a tenner it's even cheaper than the shows at the cinemas and you can watch other plays, too! Honest to God, the best value for money streaming service I have atm is NTatHome.

NYE with Martin Sheen is my next watch tonight :)

I saw it twice at my local cinema. As someone who has been through a similar experience through the CJS, thought was hugely powerful. Just checked out the NT app, definitely signing up.
