Documentary currently showing in independent cinemas. Saw it this evening at the French Institute, South Kensington. An accomplished Brazilian romance scammer, good looking, with numerous victims whom he basically sponges off, tracked down and trapped by an intrepid French female director. Let's hope her documentary stops him from hurting and defrauding any more women.

She was advised by a lawyer not to reveal his identity in case he sued but did it anyway. Romance scamming is on the rise and victims lose many thousands of pounds. The worse ones are the Nigerians who con victims out of their money and they never even get to meet their so called lover.
