In bits after watching Boyhood

Been meaning to watch this for years. It was shot over 12 years so the lead character was 7 at the start and 19 at the end of the film. You watch a boy grow up.

My DS is 12, in final year of prep school. I don't want him to grow up but of course I do want him to grow up. Hence in bits.

Oo I'm going to watch this. Mine are 8 and 10. Starting to go quickly now!

One of the only films I can rewatch. Patricia arquette is brilliant. It's now abit historical as ends just before trump elected but the final section has some nods in that direction which is interesting. So much rings true from my kids childhood.
Got overshadowed by ladybird in the awards which was a great shame

Yes Lego watch it!! It's nearly three hours long but easily viewable in pieces, it's like lots of mini films about moments in the boy's life.

Was Patricia Arquette brilliant. Apparently she was told to have no plastic surgery during the 12 year filming!

This is one of my favourite films of all time. So incredibly clever and well made isn't it? Yes I was also in piece's watching it!

Brilliant film.
Seek out other films from the director, Richard Linklater. The Before... trilogy is particularly standout, also playing with time.
Beautiful films.

Oooh thanks for the tip - I hadn't heard of Richard Linklatter before this film but will look out for his other work.
