Starring and directed by Anna Kendrick based on the true story of the serial killer who went on The Dating game. Just watched and very very good.

Anyone else seen?

I guess what was missing was the why and the background to the killer.

I think because it focused on the women not him,in the same way the recent Yorkshire Ripper series did.

I loved it. Not sure why. It was atmospheric. The main guy is so gorgeous - even though he's playing a psychopath serial killer. 😬

The first killing scene was really horrific. I can't believe that woman had to endure that and then being revived.

Gorgeous? Fucking hell,he made my blood run cold 😱

Even when he was caught and charged he killed two females when he was on bail.

He's good looking in RL but in the film he made me feel sick.

I may have issues I need to work through 🤷‍♀️

The actor is incredibly handsome. Have you seen pictures of the real killer. He's referred to as handsome etc but I did not see that at all.

I don't know the actor at all, I haven't seen him in anything else.

I think the actual killer was handsome on a 70's man sort of way.

Shall I start a MN whip round for some therapy for you ? 😉

@LoafofSellotape 🤣 it's ok, it's been sorted on the MAFS thread after I confessed my lust for awful acorn style haircuts 😬

Anna Kendrick has donated her total earnings for the film to charities Rainn (the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) and the National Centre for Victims of Crime.

This film has really stayed with me!

The car park scene for sure but all of it really... The older waitress in the bar instantly understanding Cheryl's little head shake. The teenage runaway, battered and bruised in the car, staring at the other car at the crossroads and the male driver looking at her, seeing her bruises, but not asking if she needed help. The young Black woman yelling "Do your f-ing job!' in the police station. Goosebumps.

LyndaSnellsSniff · 12/01/2025 17:10

I watched this yesterday. The moment in the bar when Cheryl realised he was a dangerous man, was so well acted. Such a subtle shift. The car park scene was outstanding; you could sense the fear. The young girl who escaped him is a true hero.
