Joker: Folie à Deux - POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Here to have a moan about the new film. Maybe no one's seen it or interested but thought I'd post anyway.

The first joker was absolutely amazing and so dark yet brilliant. I couldn't fault the first film at all.

However, this second one was so bad that I left the film an hour before it ended! It was truly awful. The plot dragged on and nothing came of anything. It was essentially a musical which wasn't very clear in the trailer. They almost made the Joker seem weak. It was truly dreadful, the worst I've ever seen!

Has anyone seen it and has the same or a different opinion on it?!

I seen it last night and was so disappointed. I had been waiting to see this film since it was announced.

There was no storyline and every time I thought "oh this must be where it gets good" they burst into song. There was almost no dialogue cause of all the singing and jazz hands and I was terribly bored for most of it.

There was no opportunity for character development either. The joker was just kind of going through the motions . Lee was annoying and they basically just brushed by Harvey Dent who could have been a really interesting character in this story .

I feel sorry for Joaquin Phoenix though. I felt he did a good performance despite a poor storyline and he changes his whole physicality to play Joker .

It seemed like the almost wrote the film around lady gaga singing every 2 minutes. My husband fell asleep 😴.

And the end ... that was a poor show .

Same here - I didn’t enjoy this film despite really looking forward to it.
We watched the first one on Friday just to get back into it, and it was so good, but the sequel just isn’t.
i would say good acting but hardly a storyline and the amount of singing was just weird! Awful ending too.
I also feel sorry for Joaquin Phoenix as he acted so well but that can’t make up for the lack of plot and constant singing!
