(I know it’s still summer, but it’s cold and raining and I’m unwell so give me a pass please.)

I’m looking for autumnal movies, that are going to make me feel cosy and justify lighting a pumpkin spice candle.
Ill take classics like when Harry met Sally But also any of the amazing but awful hallmark type movies?!

I’m not sure if it’s autumnal but I really like “It’s Complicated”. Meryl Streep being fabulous. Lots of lovely interiors and baking (not the point of the film but a nice bonus!)😁

ShittyGlitter · 26/08/2024 18:43

Are spooky season movies too much? hocus pocus always makes me feel autumnal.
Make sure you light your pumpkin spice candle and not the black flame one of you decide to watch it ShockWink

I’ve never seen it’s complicated. It doesn’t look autumnal from the quick Google, but baking definitely pushes it more into that category!

All of Me
Sleepless in Seattle
Steel Magnolias (a bit of a weepy but very focused on female friendships)

Ha ha whenever I feel like vegging out and a comfort movie I ask my son to put on Croissant Lady. 😂😂😂 God do I want her house.

Another movie Iove to indulge in is "The Other Woman" with Cameron Diaz.

Mumoftwoboysaged4and5 · 01/09/2024 00:26

Blast from the past
pleasantville
three men and a little baby

december2020 · 01/09/2024 00:29

I have so many but I'm going to say Step Mom

Also following this thread to make my ultimate movie list for this autumn.

StTola · 01/09/2024 13:20

While You Were Sleeping, which is actually a Christmas-set film, but has so much knitwear in it, plus Sandra Bullock being adorable in said knitwear, that it feel appropriate.

Marking my place here! Some great suggestions. When Harry Met Sally was my very first thought.

Sleeplessinswindon · 04/09/2024 23:12
