Films in 4DX

Has anyone been to watch films in 4DX where the seats move around plus other effects, we are going to see the new Alien film on Friday in 4DX just wondering what it will be like, if its as fun as it looks or just gets annoying, and can you manage to eat and drink! lol!

Yes we saw Twisters in 4DX and it was the moving seat and effects which made the film much more engaging and fun! You're not allowed hot drinks but otherwise can eat and drink

Ohh sounds like it will be really good, and can understand not taking hot drinks in!

Sounds like the kind of experience not to bring in food and drink! I've been to the forerunner of these at a theme park and it did give me some nausea!

I love it and go when I can, have a Cineworld pass so the uplift to 4dx doesn't feel so expensive.

Although sometimes if there's lots of shooting I feel like I've come out with a bruised back.

Few years ago took my dad to a James Bond film in 4dx seats and his face as we were thrown this way and that on a bike chase was brilliant.

I like it apart from the weird back punches!

Are there effects that you can smell and also feel like rain?

There is water and you can switch it off. I've never had different smells other than the smell of dry ice.
