Really interesting responses and I was expecting the opposite tbh. I do wonder if I'm hesitant because of the way he is. Up until recently he has always been quite scared to be upstairs alone and has never liked horror or gory things. I have been quite strict with what both kids can watch, including YouTube stuff etc...so not sure if my influence has been a factor as they not used to watching stuff like this.

Yes. Mine was nearly 8. He really enjoyed it - he hid behind cushions during the scary bits but still enjoyed it. I was terrified of it at 8.
