Miranda's Victim

It was very powerful based on the life of a very brave woman who was kidnapped and raped back in the 60s. And the film depicts how Miranda's Law came about. (Being read your rights when arrested) The rapist was Ernesto Miranda.

A fantastic cast, and brilliant film

Meant to add it was on NOW TV for me

Always a good idea to have a specific headline - like, in this case, the actual name of the film.

The name of the film is in the first line of the OP?

Sounds like something I'd like to see but I don't have access to films on NOW.

I put the name of the film first of all in my post so it would be obvious to anyone interested.
I am not sure what you mean

This week iv`e seen the following.
I just finished watching a history of violence.
Not to bad to start with but then gets boring could have had a better ending i dont get just comes home sits down the end.
Also saw rubys baby so bad i turned it off i lasted 30 mins.
Then went on to watch the fall what a load of crap skipped to the end dont bother watching it.
The intern shit.
The mule just no.
The man from toronto funny but some of the acting i cringe the men being over manly and looking tough and kevin hart i think is just trying to hard to be funny.
So back to the the list of trying to find a good film.

I watched a movie called Eve’s Bayou a few days ago. It was made in the 90s. Set in the South of the US. A good story and excellent cast. Very moody with lots of atmosphere. The female characters - the mother, the aunt and the youngest daughter are really good.

I rented it through Amazon prime for a couple of dollars. (It had been recommended to me by someone in the US - I found it by searching.).

Thanks for the review of Miranda’s Victim OP. I will watch it.

I'm recovering in bed from some nasty virus, so thanks to this thread I watched this film today. I love a film that educates me. Last week I watched the whole series of We were the lucky ones, about a Polish Jewish family in WW2. I think it was on Disney+. Based on a true story. I can't stop thinking about it and I think I might have to read the book now.

Seriously Ruby's Baby! A baby crying for an hour, I'm good thanks! The opposite of enjoyable!

Nobody "made me the boss" - nor was I bossing. I just made a suggestion. I think clarity is always a good idea, especially if you hope people will read your post or take your recommendation.

Now that I think about it, a link would have been nice, too.

My first line quoted the film! Did you not see that?! It was there on its own, it was obvious.

What do you want me to link? I explained what streaming service I watched it on.

But just for you, here is a link to IMDb, because I am not sure what other link I am supposed to do. If there are some sort of rules to post on the films board, it's ones I do not know about.

I'm glad people are enjoying the film, I really like films that have me thinking and musing on them them for a day or two. Ms America I hope you manage to watch it and enjoy it too, now I have clarified my thread with a link. Let me know what you think of it 👍

Have just watched this after reading this thread and it was excellent. I would've missed it otherwise. Wasn't sure about Ryan Phillippe's acting but otherwise great cast.
