I was pretty bored throughout as nothing really happened. Tony Harry’s accent was OTT and his performance was a bit OTT too. Austin Butler and Jodie Comer were good as was Michael Shannon.

That’s a shame - I saw the trailer yesterday and thought it looked worth a watch.

Oohhh I'm going to see this next Friday and I can't wait. I'm a massive TH fan so I'm hoping I'll just enjoy it anyway

Tony Harry - Tom Hardy obviously 😂😂

I saw this and couldn't really understand the point of it. It's had great reviews though.

Also saw it this weekend, wasn't impressed.
Very little plot and didn't "get under the skin" of the characters at all. Austin Butler in particular had very few lines and mainly spent his time looking moody and pouting - which admittedly he was very good at!
Tom Hardy and Jodie Comers American accents seemed very over the top to me, although I think I read somewhere that they're actually very authentic.
Seemed a bit of a waste of a good cast and I also can't understand the positive reviews.

I actually thought the Austin Butler character was meant to be a bit dim, so I was very surprised when Tom Hardy suggested he should be the new leader.

I was really bored, story didn't really go anywhere and the characters were really unlikeable. Such a shame as the trailer looked good and such a strong cast.

I was a bit disappointed. I felt it was rather neutral in its portrayal of a violent gang. I would have liked a bit more exploration of Kathy and Benny's relationship; they got married so quickly but i couldn't see that intense chemistry between them.

Shame as it looked so good. Great soundtrack though.

Yes there were lots of interesting potential themes that weren't developed, like the fact that the Tom Hardy character had a home life and job separate from the gang.

On reflection and reading pp comments I feel they tried to pack loads of stuff in to the film to the point where interesting themes didn’t really get covered. I would have liked the film to have focused on what happened when people wanted to leave the gang more. This was touched on but I think it would have made a better story had it of been fully explored especially with regards to Austin Butler’s character, Tome Harry’s character and Jodie Comer’s character and how TH and AB helped another character leave the gang in a “kind” way. Such a great cast and so much potential, it’s a shame.

I was wondering who this new matinee idol was and how he had slipped under my radar
