Help me find the title of this 80s kids film

I have very vivid recollections of this film, which i watched in the 80s - it s a bit complicated by the fact that i watched it in French, so names may not be exact match to the original version...
i may also be amalgamating two different films...

so...


it was a disney channel type film for television, maybe a mini series, of the "scary" type, shown in mid to late 80s

There was a girl who was the main character, i think she had to solve a mystery

there were scary mean fairies/witches (adult women) who liked jam (??)

there was a segment when the girl lied, the fairies made snakes come out of her mouth into the sink

some of the mystery revolved around finding the "glass doll" - i remember a blue hued floaty ghost telling the girl to "goooo find the glass doll" - calling her by the name agnes, or alice. Now this looks a lot like the disney "child of glass" but that s not it (i rewatched it recently, a little boy is the hero)

at the end, the girls give up on solving the mystery, and the blue hued ghost falls to the floor and shatters (it was the glass doll all along)

Apologies for the fragmented recollections- i was 7 or 8 at the time, and was really scared by it. I ve asked loads of people, noone remembers the fairies, the ham, the snake, the doll. If anyone remembers it would be amazing...

A Google search brings up 'Child of glass' which has a floaty blue ghost in it....no mention of jam loving fairies though!!

yes, def not child of glass - but very similar "ghost"
