Has anyone seen the Spiderwick Chronicles yet; thinking of taking dd who is 6; would it be too scary? TIA

We took DS 4and 6 last week - it was much scarier than we thought it would be and i got a bit concerned that younger one would freak. at the fight at the end i took him out for a strategic wee and hovered at the back playing a hopping game with him until it was clear that the humans had got rid of all the goblin-thingies. No nightmares or anything to report since then. overall i'd recommend it

Just been to see it today , my 8 year old was scared I really didnt expect it to be like that , it is a fantastic film tho

I was scared (the bit with the sounds in the walls, but dcs 10 and 12 weren't.
DS was worried it would be another Bridge to Terabithia, which was a lovely film but the advertising was very misleading, but he wasn't disappointed and really enjoyed it.
