Can anyone help me identify an old film please which has been bugging me for years! I must have been about 5 or 6 when I saw it, over 40 years ago. My memories are vague but it was about a couple who are both poor to begin with but somehow they get very wealthy. There's something about one of them liking the colour red and either one of the rooms in their house was painted red or maybe it was the front door. The couple break up. I think their new -found wealth was the cause. However, they meet up at the end of the film and I recall one of them visiting the other at at their big posh house and the bedroom was decorated the same as their bedroom when they were poor and it had a patchwork quilt. I'd love to watch it again with my daughter. Hope someone can help! Thank you.
