Just saw it after enjoying the first film and conjuring franchise as a whole.

I feel like the storyline of the first was better but felt the Valak was more scary this time which was lacking really in the first film and visually it was great with it culminating in a great magazine scene.

Also great for seeing Taissa Farmiga do well as the lead.

I saw this yesterday and thought it was piss poor, although I agree the magazine scene was well done. Other than that it was woefully boring and pedestrian and not even bad enough to be fun - I fell asleep for at least fifteen minutes and didn't miss a thing.

I haven't seen the first one and mainly went for the aircon, to be fair .

To be fair yesterday was really hot I felt like the priest at the beginning of the film at times!

As I say IMO the first storyline was better and more well played out but the Nun did basically absolutely nothing and was menacing in its unveiling in the main conjuring movies so to see her actually use some powers was a step up and I feel visually it's better than the first.

The storyline I feel was too long and could have been condensed. I'd take the first films storyline with second films Nun.

Seeing this in the week. Seen the magazine bit in the trailer nice to see she's gone bit creative! Not expecting much but least a easy watch..ish
