In the form of a TV series!! On Disney+ in June, with the original characters. One of my favourite movies. I can’t wait!

It was brilliant at the time, I’m not sure it’s dated terribly well though! I will have to give it a rewatch.

Arginalia · 01/05/2023 19:09

Well, I suppose it can't be worse than the first one Grin

Igmum · 01/05/2023 19:12

With the original characters? Do you mean the original actors? (Registers slight concern at what the passing of the years will have done). Fingers crossed they haven't Americanized it - there is also a Fully Monty musical BTW. I have booked tickets and intend to take my teenage DD (just watch her get embarrassed!)

KnickerlessParsons · 01/05/2023 19:18

Surely not the same actors? 🤔

You can do a lot with CGI these days.

longwayoff · 01/05/2023 19:25

CGI and a couple of Zimmer frames. If theyve aged as badly as I have no one will want to see them with their clothes off Smile

Yes, all the six strippers - same actors playing same characters.

I saw the Full Monty musical a few years ago it had Gary Lucy and Mick Johnson from Brookside, it was very good. And yes they got everything off, and the flash that is meant to cover their modesty was slightly delayed 😂

@Mostar but not that much - eg Robert De Niro in the Irishman 🤣

I was momentarily interested until you said it was on TV. I had recently been thinking that it's an example of a hugely popular movie which pretty much vanished without a trace. Of course, if anyone actually thought a minute about the ending, it was really depressing. But I doubt anyone did.

coxesorangepippin · 03/05/2023 01:42

What?? Robert Carlyle??

Southeastdweller · 04/05/2023 12:58

They’re all returning apart from Hugo Speer who was sacked for “inappropriate conduct”.

Anyone know the date for when it’s back?

beguilingeyes · 25/05/2023 13:39

I'm not sure whether to be thrilled or appalled. I love the film, but surely too much time has passed.
It's a bit like the forthcoming Frasier re-boot.

CountessBathorysBeautySecrets · 25/05/2023 13:41

I love the film, one of my comfort watches. Not sure what this series is going to be like though.

EversoDisorganised · 25/05/2023 13:42

I'm curious too, I still love the film and watch it once a year or so but it is a bit dated now and will this work, I'm not sure.

Southeastdweller · 13/06/2023 18:31

Anyone else watching tomorrow?

Roselilly36 · 13/06/2023 18:39

Fantastic film, but it should have been left there.

What did he do?

Whydoesnothingwork · 13/06/2023 18:57

Thanks, that seems weird.

It also seems like a load of nonsense!

Has anyone seen the TV show hey? I need to talk to someone about it 😂

Seems odd, he was in the first episode wasn’t he, I watched it last night. Enjoyed it, it still has the feel of the original

He’s in quite a few then just disappears - it’s a bit odd as he isn’t in key scenes he should be in and any mentions paint his character as a massive lying bellend.

What did you think of the episode @Billybagpuss

LifeIsPainHighness · 15/06/2023 11:45

Sorry just realised you said you enjoyed it 🤣🤣 it gets even better and ends with a masterpiece of an episode.

The job centre episode is absolute comedy gold
