Anyone else ridiculously excited about this? I'm avoiding all reviews and spoilers but the first few reactions seem to be super positive. We have tickets booked for the Friday night 🥳

@OneFrenchEgg No need to be sorry! I think the sentiment was because of moving in to a new Marvel phase.

colourmebladd · 06/05/2023 08:10

it was a great finale to GOTG. I loved it but the first will always be the best.

Loved Black Widow

ToastandJamandTea · 06/05/2023 09:58

Really enjoyed it! Yes it was sentimental but it was fantastic.
Rocket is the MVP of the MCU.
Excited to see we will be exploring the legendary starlord arc in the future.
Also very hopeful we will have Phyla-vell in the Marvels movie this year

Hopefully going tomorrow, have been waiting ages for this, they say it’s the last one 😥which is shit as I think GOTG is probably one of Marvel’s best films, they never fail to cheer me up.

Nebula has become awesome. Love her character arc so much

Watched it today and loved it, brilliant way to end the trilogy (although I hope they come back to fight what ever this Phase’s ‘Big Bad’ is). Not quite as good as the first, although much better CGI, and knocks spots off the second. Loved all the nods to the Xmas special as well!

Saw at the weekend. Found it very emotional. I thought Bradley Cooper as Rocket was sensational. I was crying my eyes out over Rocket. I think the film is very clever to make you feel so emotional over what essentially is a non human and was an annoying character in the beginning who wasn't necessarily seen as a main part like Star Lord.

Agree that Nebula has become an awesome character. Always liked Nebula more than Gamora.

The 2 mid/end credits were very disappointing.

Went last night with the family. They all enjoyed it so at least that’s not £30+ I didn’t just burn, take a piss on and flush the ashes down the toilet.
Thought it was absolute crap. I am now officially done with going to see Marvel films at the cinema. I’ll wait till they come round on Disney+ and then media stack them while doing my Sainsbury’s order.
Boring, emotionally manipulative non-sensual trash. Virtually whole thing done on green screen, plot that made so little sense it was laughable and some great actors who were handed absolute horseshit characters with horses hit lines to say.
Nathan Fillion OMG they could have done so much with him, but no. That’s a fucking CRIME right there against a beloved sci-fi actor. I should have walked out then I suppose but had to drive the family home.
The super villain of the piece just shouted the whole time. Hey, super genius bad guy with limitless resources and evil
minions, just shout all the time. Yeah that’s right, we just want you shouting in people’s faces The Whole Damn Movie.
Christ I could go on.

Awful, terrible film. TERRIBLE.

MyDecadent70sArmpits · 23/05/2023 07:04

Lol. That should say non-sensical 😂😂😂😂

I did not go to a Guardians movie looking for sensuality.

Hooray! Someone to share my unpopular opinion Grin

Patchw0rk · 23/05/2023 15:27

Oh I loved it. It was so funny and heart warming and silly.

TammyJones · 29/05/2023 13:44

Saw it yesterday
Loved it
Rockets story was told so perfectly.
Can't wait ti see it again 😊

Sorry to come on 4 months late, but I thought it was better than starting a new thread.
Anyway, I'm so glad that someone hated it as much as I did - Decadent70sArmpits says it all.
Plus, what age is this designed for? Too tedious for adults and way too dark for children. Not just animal experimentation, which was bad enough, but Nebula, in a throw-away line, stating that her father tortured her by taking out her eyes.

SoRad · 04/08/2023 21:21

I’ve just watched it this eve and I balled my eyes out! Love that Drax got to be a dad at the end
