At last, a Judy Blume book made into a film.

Are you there God? It's me, Margaret was a huge part of my formative years.

Anyone else looking forward to it like I an?

Oh gosh yes I remember her books so well. This one was particularly poignant for me as my parents were going through a divorce around the same time

I read and reread all of JBs books as a kid.
Treating myself to a morning screening today. Can't wait 🎉

I took DD12 to see it today. We enjoyed it, it was a good adaptation of the book. I loved Judy Blume as a child and I'm glad the film has come out at the perfect age for my own DD to relate to it, I bought her the book a few weeks ago and she's asked for more Judy Blume so I've got her Deenie and Just as long as we're together. Think I'll save Forever for when she's a bit older though.

Took DDs 13 and 10 at the weekend and we all really enjoyed it.

It was great

I took DDs 11 an 9 today. We all loved it. Judy Blume was a huge part of my childhood. I was unprepared for how emotional it made me though - the realisation of how quickly DDs are growing up

Taking DD to see this tonight and really looking forward to it but I have struggled to find a screening and we will have to go to the next town where there is only one screening today. Meanwhile our local nine-screen cinema has five showings of the new Fast & Furious film today. I hope AYTGIMM does reasonably well at the box office despite the limited release, and shows that there is an audience for female-led and directed film.

I went today with my DDs. We thought it was faithful to the book and we really enjoyed it. We found a screening eventuality in a tiny independent cinema and there were about 12 of us there. I hope that’s just because it has been out for a bit now but I guess it’s half term so may not be a big box office hit.

I'm going to watch it today. I haven't read the book though.
