Well; I am almost lost for words.

The trailers give a glimpse of a film in the mould of Pride or the Full Monty, full of British pluck and the hope of something joyous.

Instead, it is an mawkish medley of “God bless the NHS and all who sail in her”, a hideous glimpse of the horrors of aging, a political point made with the subtlety of a brick, a massive dose of the pandemic horrors, and a random story twist (which was fairly obvious early on) which left a mish mash of disappointment and bewilderment by the end.

I don’t recommend 😂

I realise this is an old thread but I didn't want to start a new one and have noone know what film I'm on about.

Spoilers below, I realise it's an old film but yeah.... Heads up.

Like most I agree that the ending spoilt a really lovely film. I also fail to see how Mary and Dr Valentine came to the conclusion they did simply watching someone being given a drink a couple of times. As in to specifically name what had happened without forensics or footage of her doing it.

My question is (and I have googled to see if it's mentioned elsewhere and it isn't) does anyone else think Joe knew what Alma was doing? As in did she offer him the choice considering he didn't want to return to The Rowan's?

I'm torn because he rang his son and stressed that he was now "on the list" and was worried, but then when she first prepared it she came to see him and they sort of hugged and then danced and then she said its gone cold when they returned to put him into bed he says "I don't even know if I want it now." and she puts it back on the side saying it's there if he changes his mind.

I realise that could mean the drink itself but also wonder if he'd rather gently pass than return to the care home he hates so much.

It was good to see scenes where we live mind!

Don't often get to see where we live on films or on Tele!

And I didn't see the twist with the nurse killing them off 🤭
