A mash up of Jurassic park, Hunger games and Don’t look up. I don’t quite understand how the space ship travelled back in time to crash 65 million years ago but whatever. I thought Adam driver and the young actress were good. Much of it looked like it had been filmed in the U.K. There were English bluebells in one scene. Definitely not around in dinosaur time! End credit say it was partly filmed in Ireland so they must have been irish bluebells.
but about 90 mins long so after a spate of 3 hour films recently that is a massive plus😊

I saw it yesterday. A very confused film.

It was never going to be anything other than the ending (cryptic to avoid spoilers). And I'm a bit over the whole dinosaur eye in the window / peering through tunnel trope.
Like the language twist. Was very tired when I watched it without knowing the plot etc and started wondering if I'd booked some Star Wars sequel where Kylo Ren was on some mission.

They didn’t travel back in time. The “twist” was that we tend to think of aliens as being from the future, but he was from a civilisation that existed 65 million years ago, so on his timeline, Earth was still home to dinosaurs.

It was like a weird mash up of Lost in Space, Jurassic Park, and The Last of Us, but it didn’t hit any of them well. DD and I both said it probably would have been a better film if they’d just played the same story out on any planet with random monsters - the dinosaurs didn’t really add anything to the plot.

I can see why it’s been bumped around for its release date. It was fine, I wasn’t bored (but that may have had something to do with just watching Adam Driver for 90 mins) but it’s not something I’d watch again.

I liked that it was on earth and not some alien planet..but then after that it was a bit meh. Shouldve maybe made it a bit less serious? It had a odd tone and nothing really happened. They had a bit of a bad day and that was that.
