I couldn't find a better place to ask this.
I watched Sutton Foster in Anything Goes filmed at the Barbican 2021 - she was amazing. It look slike it's still on iPlayer

I wouldn't have said I was a massive fan of musicals but I have liked a few on film - but this production and performance was great - it also included a few familiar faces - Robert Lindsay, Felicity Kendal and Gary Wilmot - Sutton Foster was stellar.

I wondered if there were any good musical theatre productions showing at the moment that you'd recommend? I'm pretty free and mobile ATM so I can make a trip out of visiting somewhere just for a good show.

I was lucky to go and see that production with the same cast at the Barbican last year. It was joyful and flawless and I'm not sure I'll ever see anything better. But I am looking forward to seeing Crazy for You this summer.

If you can get to London there are loads of shows - it depends what sort of thing you like. I usually go with my pre-teens so we all enjoyed Six, &Juliet and Wicked but they are very different from Anything Goes. There is a well-reviewed production of Cabaret on at the moment - I think the stalls seats are all done as nightclub-style tables. There is also a new production of Moulin Rouge on. You could sign up for Today Tix and see if you could get discounted tickets.

Thanks @TwigTheWonderKid and @Forever42

I had hoped to find somewhere I could park up my campervan - London, the obvious choice, isn't my ideal destination - not impossible - maybe I'll have a rethink. There are places on the edge of the underground network I can camp - but none are that cheap and availability of usually a problem - places for access to Wimbledon are always booked up a year in advance.
I've no kids in tow - I prefer the wit and intelligent lyricism of the well known musical greats - Rogers and Hammerstein, Sondheim, Bernstein, Cole Porter, etc. - the classic 40's-50's era. Crazy For You looks like the right kind of thing - Only Fools and Horses - The Musical, for instance, just isn't my cup of tea.

I just signed up at TodayTix.

Wizard of Oz is in its last few days in Leicester. I believe this is moving to the west end soon.

And I 100% agree about Sutton Foster in Anything Goes, she is fabulous.

We’ve seen many musicals and the best stand out one for me was Hamilton

I absolutely loved it

Kilworth House near Lutterworth in Leicestershire usually does two musicals per year and they are always brilliant

This website has a list of musicals on tour

You would be just in time for White Christmas if you fancied travelling to Liverpool. Or there is the King and I from February or 42nd Street in the summer. (I'm guessing SpongeBob the Musical wouldn't meet your requirements?).
