New Pinocchio film- suitable for age 6?

Wondering about taking DS to see this at the weekend. He can be a bit of a scaredy eg he was terrified by the monsters in Trolls and still berates me for suggesting that he watch it. But that was when he was 4.

It’s a PG, it’s described as dark, it doesn’t sound to me like it would be the best choice for a scaredy 6 year old.

If you mean the Guillermo del Toro one, it is quite dark and I'd agree with the post above.

It's on Netflix from next week IIRC so maybe you could see something else this weekend and then decide after you watch it yourself?

We watched this ages ago (on Rakuten TV) - I have a 14 and 10 year old. It was really quite dark and not even suitable for my 10 year old tbh! Even I was a bit shocked and traumatised by it 😯

Sorry, just realised the one we watched was a different version. Also live action...but really not for kids imho.

The version we watched had Roberto Benini in it, so we thought it would be funny 🤦

I tried to watch the Guillermo one the other day, found it a bit disturbing and wasn't enjoying it. Its def not a kids film.

I read an interview with Guillermo del Toro and he actually stated that he "didn't make this for kids"

I didn't find it dark, it's just the Pinocchio story but it does go on and on, for that reason alone I don't think anyone under 12 would sit through it.
