Anyone seen this. Saw it at the week-end. I'm now totally in love with Josh Brolin - can't believe I never noticed him before.

Where was I? oh yeah the film

Its really good, 5 minutes into the film you get that tense feeling in your stomach about whats gonna happen next and that feeling was there throughout the whole film.

Very different film, very good.

I thought it was fantastic.
Perhaps their best yet.

Loved it. Did you notice the lack of soundtrack?

nametaken · 31/01/2008 15:59

Now that you mention it I do re-call there not being any soundtrack on this film. It really was a very very quiet and tense film. There was also very little dialogue compared to most films.

Tense, sums it up perfectly. When something did happen, it was VERY loud and made me even more tensE1

Yes I think a classic example where music wouldn't enhance a film. A lot of the atmosphere was created by the very lack of it.

As much as I love Tommy Lee Jones....I tended to drift when he was on. . One of the best films I've seen for a long time. All my dh could hear from me was the occasional squeak, when things got bloody. Normally I would be shrieking like a hyenna at home!

DarthVader · 01/02/2008 21:20

Well I have just seen this film on the back of these mumsnet recommendations. I found it bleak, violent and pointless.

Dp enjoyed it though although neither of us got the ending at all!

I thought this was fantastic but I too drifted off at TLJ's monologue at teh end which was quite crucial to the story! Frightening film.

The unpredictability of our lives? Random evil/badness? Dunno really but disturbed for quite a few days afterwards.

I have no idea why it would be up for any awards. I really didn't think it had anything new or different to say.

theBOD · 06/03/2008 16:29

bundle · 06/03/2008 16:31
