What are the more grown up themes please? Is it suitable for slightly sensitive 11 and 12 year olds?

There is also mild violence and associated threat, including undetailed sight of planes being shot at and blown up. There are also references to illness, upsetting scenes, and a brief mild sex scene.

The sex scene was much tamer and more implied than the original. No one you are made to care in this film dies, all the sadness is nostalgia for Goose.

It’s fine. There isn’t any on-screen sex. Not that much bad language. No explicit violence. They show Goose’s death scene from the first film and there’s a little bit of blood in that scene, but that’s all.

My frequently scared 9yo really enjoyed it. I was dreading him being v scared and was prepared to run out with him. Group outing and he was v keen to see it.

Yeah there isn’t really a sex scene! There’s a very discreet talking in bed scene. No nudity.

The 'sex scene' is basically two attractive middle-aged people (sorry, Tom) having a brief snog to 'film love theme' music, then settling back in bed for a nice chat. If the montage had run for another 10 seconds, she would have started doing her Tesco order on her phone and he would have got round to reading his nine back copies of Fast Planes Weekly.
