Took my DD & a friend to see this without knowing much about it and was genuinely pleasantly surprised to see Sandra Bullock - 57 - as the much-desired love-interest of Channing Tatum (42). Absolutely no reference was made to age or to any age gap. Bullock admittedly looks amazing (obviously had some work done, but to my untutored eye it was subtle and not distorting; there was some sympathetic camera-work too) and it’s hard to believe she’s 57, but she’s still clearly an adult woman. It was great to see her get this part (adventure/romance mix) and do it with her characteristic brio. It struck me how rare it still is for a more mature actress to get an action & romance role of this kind. The film was surprisingly watchable too: quite funny, old-school type thing.

Yeah I thought that too. She's always been a very likeable actress, good for her.

I agree. She has a lovely, appealing quality as an actor.

Love Sandra bullock as an actress, i felt there was a feel she was older than Tatum but not much made of it. Not the best film but definitely an alright way to spend an afternoon

I bloody loved this film! Just what’s needed sometimes. I have a female crush on Sandra bullock and Channing Tatum was great (and also easy on the eye!)

Would you say it was suitable for 10 year old?

Yes. I took my 10 yo dd2 and 13 yo dd1. Apart from the close up scene with Channing's bottom, the rest was pretty harmless imho.

I enjoyed it more than I expected.
There were only a couple of close up scenes near the end where Sandra Bullock looked like she'd had work done, but pretty good for the rest of it.

Great fun! I think Sandra Bullock is massively under-rated. I liked Alan's development too 😊

I really loved this, as did DD, aged 11. The most I've heard DD laugh for ages.
